C'BS ALife has been on the scene for more than a minute. He has touched many fields of art and expression. He is a poet (spoken and written), an MC, a social activist, a mentor, a rocker, a B-Boy, and father. Currently right now he is making his return to the realm of poetry with his second book of poetry entitled "Perihelion Baby" due out in late January/ early February.

*circa mid 80's in Middle School wrote a piece called "Sparky" where a little flame burned down a house. It won the national fire safety writing contest. Learned that people really liked his writing. Decided to become a writer on that day.
*Circa late 80's attended the Educational Center of the Arts (ECA) his entire HS career. Became the first Black man to complete all 4 years of the poetry/prose program as well as the 1st student to complete all 4 years.
*Circa late 80's / early 90's became serious about the MCing element in Hip Hop and developed his freestyle abilities during the Golden Age of Hip Hop from lunchroom tables to street corners to rec rooms under the moniker 'A to da B'.
*Circa '93 became one of the founding members of BlueBlack Poetry Collective, a workshop/performance group centered in New Haven
*Circa '95 published his first book of poetry "Black Dot: The Omniscience Agenda". Toured various cafes in CT, NYC and NJ
*Circa '95 became one of the founding members of "The FishFry", a monthly freestyle collective of various CT MCs.
*Circa '96 After doing an internship at ECA returned and taught in the Poetry/Prose Department at ECA
*Circa '98 Became a mainstay on the New Haven Poetry scence amongst such poets as Shadow, the Dead Poets, Kwalo, Ngoma, Carlos Sortas, Aissatou Sunjata and others. Was part of the Live@Ives Poets.
*Circa 2000 wrote various pieces that were to be collected in his lost volume, "Ebony Ibis"
*Circa 2001 Took time out to maintain his family
*2006-2007 Publishing "Perihelion Baby", a book of eclectic verse
