This could be the start of something beautiful!

About Me

I was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware and moved to Nashville in September '05. I graduated high school in 1999 as Valedictorian. Yep, I got to give a speech and everything! I chose not to go to college and I've had a few very interesting and challenging jobs over the past 10 years or so. I'm currently working as an Office Assistant for the Environmental Services Department of Vanderbilt University Medical Center (say that 3 times fast). I also work part-time at Dillard's in the ladies Shoe department. For years, the "dream" was to be a singer -- I wanted to be the next Faith Hill. Well, things change and now I really just want to settle down and have a family with the love of my life. I'd still like to be involved in the music biz somehow, maybe as a songwriter or in PR.
I love my boyfriend, New York City, the beach, animals, food, meeting celebrities, music, shopping, roller coasters, road trips and God (though not necessarily in that order). I tend to be a little OCD and perhaps over-zealous about certain things (and/or people) but I'm OK with that. Are you?

My Interests

Music, music and more music! I love to travel and would love to take a culinary tour of Europe someday. I love food and cooking. I'm not really athletic but I enjoy watching sports -- especially baseball (GO PHILLIES!). I enjoy hiking, especially with my Mom. I started bowling with my Dad when I was about 3 and still enjoy doing that from time to time. Oh yeah, and shopping. I get so excited when I find a good deal!

I'd like to meet:

Music:

I like all kinds of music, but Country is my favorite. My favorite artists are Chalee Tennison, Trick Pony, Phil Vassar, Sara Evans, Craig Morgan, Fleetwood Mac, Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, Kellie Coffey, The Kinleys, Sugarland, Little Big Town, The Wreckers, The Gaither Vocal Band, Jeff & Sheri Easter, John & Audrey Wiggins, Lari White, Taylor Swift, Wendy Newcomer, Lauren Lucas, John Griffin, Jimmy Barret, The Fabulous Hubcaps and many more!

"Cry Like A Baby"

Movies:

I love Romantic Comedies, and some of my favorite movies of all time are: Miss Congeniality, Dumb & Dumber, Sister Act, Double Jeopardy, Selena, For Richer or Poorer, Grease, Somewhere in Time, Heartbreakers, Liar Liar, The Princess Diaries (both of them), Sleepless in Seattle, Because I Said So, etc.

Television:

I am a total television buff and my taste ranges from classics to reality to comedies to drama. Some of my favorite shows are: Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, The Nanny, Who's the Boss?, I Love Lucy, Get Smart, CSI, Law and Order: SVU, Crossing Jordan, Amazing Race, Reba, Friends, Providence, Family Guy and just about anything on the Food Network, especially Paula Deen and Rachael Ray.

Rest in Peace, Steve-o!

Books:

My favorite book of all time is "The Witches" by Ronald Dahl. Odd choice I guess, but I've loved that one since the 4th grade. I really enjoy the "Murder, She Wrote" series and just about any other mystery type thing. I also love reading biographies or auto-biographies of my favorite stars. Paula Deen's book, "It Ain't All About the Cookin'" is a new favorite. My good friend Tiffany (aka Amber Miller) just released her first book through Heartsong Presents called "Promises, Promises" which rocks! You should check it out -- Heartsong Presents -- Amber Miller

Heroes:

I am constantly inspired by talented people, especially singers and songwriters. I am also inspired by celebrities who use their fame and money to help others or to promote a charity or cause. Here's a quick list of some of my "heroes":

Chalee Tennison, Amy Grant, Faith Hill, John and Audrey Wiggins, Jennifer and Heather Kinley, Kellie Coffey, The Fabulous Hubcaps, Jane Seymour, Tony Danza, Judith Light, Mariska Hargitay and Chonda Pierce.

"When a sweet and gentle spirit can breeze across sunken shoulders and whisper peace and joy to broken hearts -- that's when you must throw up your hands and say, 'There is no explanation, it is undeniably God, and in Him there is joy and laughter after the rain...'"
