Guild Of Destruction are a four piece band comprising one guitar, bass, drummer and vocalist loud enough that they are constantly taken for a five or six piece. Born in Melbourne’s western suburbs the band has released a demo – Welcome to the guild an E.P. – Cursed and being commercially released through Grindhead Records in March of 2007 their first album Into Oblivion recorded and mastered at Melbourne Records by Ren “the shark-lady killer†and Adam “Adambombâ€.
G.O.D are bringing back the old school Deathmetal that has been void lately in the music scene. Heavy guitar with screamin’ solos reminiscent of an eagle being slaughtered, gut churning filthy bass, pure metal drumming with no breaks or slow tempo and the visceral screaming of the talented Meatsword. Guild have played many live shows with bands such as Walk the Earth, Ebolie, The Day Everything Became Nothing, Alarum, Fuck…I’m Dead, Captain Cleanoff, Double Dragon, Vahrzaw, The Ocularis Infernum, The Ninth Path, Embodied, and many others.
G.O.D. are sick of the posers that seem to have infiltrated the metal scene. Always up for wiping themselves out after a gig like their predecessors, Guild bring something missing from the live scene… attitude. Windmills, headbanging like a migraine and fucking partying. No bullshit and frills Guild like metal and partying and are always up for a gig any time anywhere.
