The Supreme Master Ching Hai is a humble, humanitarian lady who prays for world peace. She and her disciples believe that each person must lift themselves up to a higher level of consciousness, by leading a noble and virtuous life, following the 5 precepts and by connecting themselves to God with the Quan Yin Method.
Master Ching Hai does not accept gifts or donations from anyone. She earns her own living through artistic creations and the sale of books and audio, all of which relate to spirituality. By these means, she is always striving to provide aid to those who are suffering and need help, such as the victims of natural disasters. Whilst she has no desire for recognition or reward, others have felt moved to honour her with many awards for her continual altruistic work (such as the GUSI peace prize). In this way, she leads us all by her own pure example.
Master Ching Hai clearly states that she does not wish her disciples to worship her in any way. She teaches each person that they must become the Master of themselves and become one with God and their own inner Master. But such is the gratitude of her disciples for the inner peace and bliss they discover with the Quan Yin Method that they affectionately refer to their friend and guide as "Supreme Master".
