About Me

I recently moved to New York City to try living as a starving singer. I'm loving it so far! I just finished 7 years of school at Indiana University receiving my Bachelor of Music (2003) and Master of Music (2006) in Vocal Performance. I want to sing opera, but I also love musical theater. I love singing, and performing...the feeling of adrenalin rushing as I step out on stage...the sound of applause...the excitement of knowing I did a good job. I love my puppy Antonio...particularly cuddling on the couch with him while we watch re-runs of Friends, or an episode of some wonderfully-bad reality TV show. I love spending quality time with my friends...going to lunch at Mother Bear's in Bloomington and always getting the number 3 special...laughing so hard my sides hurt...having someone to cry with. I love to travel...driving to new places, or stepping off the airplane knowing someone's at the other end to pick me up...hailing a cab for the first time...learning my way around a new city...enjoying the view of a beautiful lake or beach...smelling clean air. I mostly just want to be a good friend. I want to be the kind of person that people want to be around. I want to be supportive and loyal and loving. I want to love and be loved. I want to know and be known. And I want to eat ice cream.
