NOTE *IDOL JUSTICE HAVE SPLIT UP, READ THE BLOG*
'Idol Justice are a "post hardcore" band from Midsomer Norton, the current lineup forming in early 2005, and recording their first demo EP "Defining Perfection" later that year. The term 'post hardcore' used lightly in description of their sound, as although it is the most accurate genre to place them in, as the band develope they are defyinng the boundries and conventions of any singular genre more and more. The band fuse ambient melodies with chaotic aggression, blending their violent hardcore noise with delicate breakdowns, all linked together through a complexed structure of different sounds and time signatures.
The demos on this myspace page are over 6 months old, are the first songs they wrote together as a group and are not an accurate example of the bands current sound. They are constantly exploring their potential as a unit, pushing themselvs to develope and progress musically. They are currently focusing their efforts on writing new material, and the diversity in their sound is becoming more extreme. The polar opposites of musical styles explored in their songs can echo the sound of inspirations such as Mogwai and The Dillinger Escape Plan within 30 seconds of one song.
The band plan on recording some demos of some new tracks to posted on their myspace page in the near future, as the tracks currently uploaded are becoming outdated and inaccurate examples of their music. The band plan on gigging less through this period and look forward to showcasing a more mature sound in the future.'
Listen to the songs and come see us play!
The Somerset Guardian Review, Dan Biggane
Fat Sams, Midsomer Norton 07/05/06
"Next up was the immense post hardcore mob Idol Justice. Featuring Mark on guitar and vocals, Chris on bass and vocals, Danny on guitar and Will on drums, Idol Justice screamed into life, much to the delight of their legion of followers at the front of the stage.
Taking influence from the likes of The Bled, Alexisonfire, Biffy Clyro, Coheed and Cambria, Finch and Nortons very own and much missed Indica, the band's set passed in a furious and chaotic whirl of energy.
Idol Justice both connected with the audience and clicked with each other, delivering a thoroughly impressive sound and spectical. Danny, on guitar, twisted and shook as he belted out some monster riffs, while Mark shredded his vocal chords, belting out tracks like 'Setting Angels on Fire', 'I Am The Hero' and 'She Loves The Drama' from the bands Defining Perfection CD.
Fans waiting for Idol Justice's next release were treated to the ear splitting new tracks 'Im Predicting Sirens' and 'My Alarm' - thus completing a truly devastating display"

"Second band were screamo merchants Idol Justice. Another band that is following the popular trend of this genre of rock, but doing it slightly better than most. Of course showcasing the typical hardcore screaming vs. melodic vocals that can be typified within this type of sound, but performing so as a tight and effective unit. They played well together and their talent showed."
