The songs managed to get recorded because a now friend walked into a little club in Cowes, Isle of Wight, I was sitting playing the guitar and singing some songs, and he said, have you any of these recorded, and I said no, he said I'll pop round and we'll get them onto disc. So he came round with a little silver suitcase, we went into my shed in the garden, and and over the space of about a day, with birds singing outside and many glasses of good Shiraz, mostly all done in one take, we got 12 songs down, Sally would come along after work and either cook something for us out in the garden or bring along supplies of wine and goodies to munch in between takes. They are now my good friends Bob and Sally Garrett and I thank them for what they did.
After that my mum became ill, and Bob moved off the Island, I wanted to do more to the tracks, but it wasn't possible, they are as they are, raw and instant, some with drum beats, some just me and guitar. After my mother died, I decided to get the tracks onto a CD and design a cover and call it 'A Journey' dedicated to my mother, so if I never do anything again, at least I've done that much.In a perfect world, I'd like to get my music out there, and make a living from it, as its a noble profession, especially if from some lyric you have written, it either brings a smile to someone's day or makes someone think a little bit more deeply about something maybe they could change to make this world a better place. So if there is anyone out there that could make this happen for me, I'm only an email away.......waiting:)
With love and good things Catherine.
