About Me

I am adrift in the wide, wide world. I love to travel and get to know new cultures. Usually, I travel in Latin America, but I have decided to switch things up indefinitely. Right now, I'm beginning work teaching TOEFL to kids in Il-san, South Korea, in the Gyeonggi-do Province just to the north of Seoul. Its a good fit for me because I love languages. I majored in Spanish at Centre College, but am now immersed in the task of learning Korean. I read, I try to keep active both physically and politically (and sometimes both at once!) I also have two siblings who mean the world to me, as do all of my close friends. (You know who you are.) Anyways, to see what I do when I travel, check out the videos underneath and the travel website: Somewhere in South America . There you can leave a message and let me know what you think. I expect to have a Korean website up and running soon. Here are some of my favorite quotations"I would rather be a free man in the grave than living as a puppet or a slave." Jimmy Cliff"If we couldn't laugh, we would all go insane." Jimmy BuffettCrazy VideosTaking a Sake-Bomb in August 2006 at Mondo Taitu in Bocas del Toro, Panama. It's a brilliant day for a stroll on Bluff's Beach in Bocas del Toro Panama! Here's a firedancer, Christian, who I met in Montanita, Ecuador earlier this year.

Only in Mississippi!

I saw an armadillo in Mississippi on my drive back from Easter Sunday with the family. I ran over him. Don't worry though, because I ran OVER him, and my truck is big enough that I do not believe I ...
