He has also had a very successful solo career, recording with heavyweight artists such as Damien Dempsey and Shane Macgowan. The Bands unique sound is further increased by Garys own unique and very powerful vocal chords. I feel i must take this opportunity to quash the viscious rumours circulating that Gary is 147 years of age and a former Vaishnava monk. This is untrue, and when 'The Exiles Staff' find the culprit making these ridiculous allegations, we will see you in court!!!!! Gary is currently in Tibet perfecting the ancient, mystical and mysterious art of naked sledgeing. He shall return shortly to complete our album, with his naked sledgeing badge.//////////////
Then There's sean, mandolin extraordinaire/Swimwear Model. He is heavily influenced by Bill Monroe, Sam Bush and 'The Edge' which is apparent in his own unique Playing style. Sean's work with the band often goes unappreciated. Not only is he the senior member and visionary in the exiles, he is also our very own espionage agent. Sean has infiltrated many of Glasgow's local Irish bands. He is forced to live life on the edge whilst keeping us one step ahead of the rest at all times. If his identity was to be unveiled, it would prove fatal for the entire band!!!!!!Sean.... a valued band member and trusted companion./////////////////
Then there is drummer Kevin, with extensive Rock and Folk experience including the Glasgow based "Hair of the Dog", he provides a powerful and dynamic backbone to the band. Interest in players and bands across a wide spectrum of music from traditional folk styles right through to the hardest rock affect and infect his playing. Kevin has invented his very own drum pedal... 'The Dualist!!!!' (no shit). The Dualist is scheduled to have made Kevin a multi-squillion-aire by the end of the year and is currently in talks with Richard Branson to have the worlds first Live concert on the Moon. It will be availible for the entire world to see free of charge, that is if it's not a cloudy night and you are the proud owner of a pair of Astronomy binoculars or a Celestron Nextstar Po4 telescope (or a more powerful one of course).The Headline act will be 'The Exiles.' Marvin the Martian will be signing autographs after the gig if all goes to plan.///////////////
And then theres 'The Coach.' Coach learned his trade playing with a host of local bands at one point or another. What can you say about Coach... Woman want him and men want to be him. He has his own unique bass sound and style which is enhanced on stage by his raw animal magnetism and sexuality!! (Hee hee, guess who wrote the bio). Coach was destined for Professional wrestling glory until a German reverse Suplex off the top rope (Compliments of Sargeant Slaughter) left him with a damaged cruciate ligament and was unable to wrestle again. As the story goes, Coach decided to hang up his 'Banana Hard Cup' jock strap, and trade in his intestinal fortitude for a place in the ranks of 'The Exiles.' He has never looked back!
