I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm from Scotland. I was born in St. Andrews, but, funnily enough, I don't play golf. I spent time in Yorkshire as a small child but grew up mainly in the Findhorn/Forres area of north east Scotland. I moved to Aberdeen for university and was there for 8 years. However, I am keen on shortbread and who doesn't like to wear tartan...?Married to an eccentric man and we've created an exceptional child (of course). We live 20 miles south of San Francisco.I used to be a Registered Psychiatric Nurse in a forensic ward - but I burnt out on that and now I work part-time in a local independent bookstore.I'm a tattoo fan. Got a few. More to get. Fantastic tattoo artist called Pat Fish does mine. Check mine out at: www.luckyfish.com - I'm the tree of life backpiece in the flora section and the first pictish tattoo (crescent & v-rod in woad blue).I love trees. Yup. They're great. Love ravens - I've got 3 tattoos of those too, now.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

People who don't talk with food in their mouths.

Channelling Nerf Herder....

I've got a few minutes while my son is engrossed in the Backyardigans - they're currently channelling Nerf Herder and, maybe, Aimee Mann (can't complain about that!). We had a comedy of errors on our ...

Budding rocker?

So I'm getting a huge kick out of hearing my 2 year old son sing 'Every rose has it's thorn' around the house. I've been singing it to him for a very long time (plus other suitable lullabies). Watch o...

Hair today....

Well, we dealt with the hair fiasco. I took kiddo to the local 'Great Clips', steeled myself to be chastised by the staff and bravely faced the music. After I took his hat off (and the staff stopped l...

Strange child

So my delightful 2 year old knows which bands are his favourites - when we're in the car he always asks for either Snow Patrol or Pink Floyd. Although he's a fan of the Monkees, the Tweenies and he lo...
