i'm a good time

i'm book smart and street smart. i like to make people laugh. i haven't figured out if i really am funny, but i can make people laugh their asses off, so i guess it's irrelevant what i think. i think way too much. i am always asking myself "why?". with enough thought i can usually come up with an answer. i want to write a book someday. in the past few years i gone from being a distant, closed off person unwilling to show any emotions or affection, yet deep down loving and caring, to a ridiculously affectionate, open, and emotional person who is still loving and caring. so emotional in fact that some tv commercials have been known to make me shed a tear. you know the folgers commercials they show around christmas? yeah, those always get me. i'm one of the most devoted friends you'll ever have. i'm a great listener and usually give good advice. my friends know that they can get me to do anything just by saying the words "karen, i need you." i would probably be most people's one phone call from jail. people would be surprised to find out i consider myself pretty shy. unless of course i have some liquid courage in me. i then become the shy girl who is capable of finding a cowboy at a lesbian bar, putting on his ten gallon hat, downing shots with him, all the while getting a piggy back ride from him. i was one of those math and science geeks in school. i was thisclose to going to med school. i'm so unartistic i can barely draw a stick figure. despite this i consider myself an artistic person. i know how to appreciate it. most of my friends are artists, many are photgraphers. somehow many of my closest friends end up being photgraphers. i'm drawn to them and vice versa. i want to take photos myself one day. two of my favorite sounds are water, whether it be the ocean, or the sound of running water in the sink, and the sound of tires slapping against wet leaves in the fall as you drive down a country road. i make an effort to practice random acts of kindness. people tell me i always smell good. i'm addicted to showering. take at least two a day. i spent my first birthday hot air ballooning over mt. fuji. wish i could remember that dammit. i'm an air force brat. my mom is annoying yet amazing. i'm full of random facts. one of my goals is to know a little bit about everything. i could go on forever, but i'll stop for now....
