MIC GERONIMO

MIC GERONIMO is a name familiar to most true Hip-Hop heads. In 1994 the QUEENS, NY native put his natural talent on the mic to use and created what would be the first of several hit singles. Titled "SHIT'S REAL", the song was a raw expression of everyday life in the hood, and created enough of an underground buzz to land MIC a deal with the upstart Hip-Hop label BLUNT RECORDS. Driven by this new opportunity, he quickly began work on his first album. "THE NATURAL" was officially released in the Spring of 1995... A meticulously crafted collection of street chronicles with production by some of the era's greatest producers. HAVOC of MOBB DEEP, BUC WILD, IRV GOTTI, DA BEATMINERZ, and MARC SPARXX all contributed powerful beats to the project, which also featured the lyrical talents of such artists as a young JAY-Z, JA RULE, DMX, OC and ROYAL FLUSH, all in the beginning stages of what would become highly successful and influential careers. The album instantly became a certified classic, gaining critical acclaim and a huge international following. Riding the massive wave of the explosive mid-nineties Hip-Hop scene, GERONIMO set out on an ambitious international tour. What MIC saw on this trip opened his eyes to the power and potential of the Hip-Hop movement. He realized that Hip-Hop as a cultural phenomenon was not limited by borders, and languages... It was it's own language. An unlimited forum for artistic expression, that people of all races and cultures could use and relate to. MIC returned home with a new perspective on his role and mission as an artist. He immediately began work on his 1996 follow up sophomore lp, "VENDETTA". 10 years and several projects later, MIC is still on the grind, staying true to himself and doing what he does best... Putting the trials and tribulations of his life journey to music, and in the process creating songs that people from all walks of life can feel and relate to.
