art, design, film, photography and bacon cheeseburgers (so far the best I found is at Philly's Steak Depot over on Santa Monica Blvd.)
Nat King Cole, Nina Simone and Frank Sinatra
I'm all over the place - indie rock, hip hop, country....I'm just a mixed basket of trail mix - you get nuts, dried pineapples, raisins and the occasional chocolate...so, the usual suspects : Depeche Mode, Editors, Feist, Monsters are Waiting, El Ten Eleven, Explosions in the Skies, Hive, London Elektricity, Robert Earl Keen, Tom Petty, Nina Simone, well the list goes on and on....
I'm behind on my films but the latest one I'm digging is Pan's Labyrinth Also just saw White Light, Black Rain, a documentary on the dropping of the atomic bomb in Japan.
I'm old-school - Simpsons and Seinfeld. I usually don't have much time for television and I usually get home around 10 - which of course is when Seinfeld and Simpsons come on.
Mostly non-fiction books - usually on historical books. Currently reading Unmasking LA : Third Worlds and the City. One of my favorite's is Oscar Hijueleos' 1989 masterpiece "The Mambo Kings Play Songs of Love" and Shawn Wong's "American Knees". My books tend to be more reference so there's plenty of photography books.
