About Me

Hello All. I’ve not been able to get to my site very often lately. See - "I’m kind of a .... big deal". That’s totally untrue but great quote from Anchorman - love that movie. So, though your comments are appreciated it may take me a bit to get back to you. Who ami?... Tommy McRae, T. love Joy- It’s all me- I’ve done everything from Major Label records to large tours to playing in front of absolutely no-one. There are some fan pages out there for some of the things I’ve done and the out of print stuff brings a pretty penny on ebay. In fact, I’ve still got a few shrink wrapped if your willing to pay those kind of prices (ha). I’m currently involved in multiple projects and am enjoying doing what I do best both live and on recording projects. I’m always interested in new ideas. So don’t be shy. If you have something you think I’d be inerested in, run it by me. I’ve got some ideas and concepts for something new myself and I hope to cultivate that over the next few months. So if you live in the Nashville area and have interest in being part of something new, hit me up. I also have a decent studio in my house. I intend to opreate it professionally at some point as Shelter Studio. It’s a great overdub / vocal room. Contact me if you want more info on my studio, equipment list etc. The main focus of Shelter Studio is vocals (sticking to what I know) so the equipment is mainly optimized for that. My "go to" vocal chain is a Peluso 22-251 /UA 610 /LA-2A to PT. I also switch out the 610 for an AMEK purpath signed by Rupert Neve on occasion. This is starting to contain way more detail than most would care about so I hope you enjoy what you’re hearing and if you do, please leave a comment. Also please forward my page to your friends. Oh, what’s T. love Joy ? A bunch of friends just started calling me that and it stuck. But I answer to just about anything ; )
