What doesn't kill us makes us stranger

About Me

Things about me...I like to think that I am an individual with a skewed outlook on life, truth is I am probably just as normal as the next person. I enjoy my friends and like to keep in contact with them, sporadic though that may be at times.I am married now, major change in life. Its a case of "Instant family just add me!" The step kiddo is pretty cool, a bit on the emo side of life, but who wasn't at that age.

My Interests

hard to pin down what my interests are, there are too many things i haven't seen yet...so here are a few things I enjoy doing even if I don't get to do them everyday...: hiking, birdwatching (don't know what they are, just that they look neat), discussing movies/books/songs in depth, bicycling, window shopping (actually buying stuff takes the fun out of it), miniature golf, bowling, white water rafting, kayaking on lakes, fishing (but not hooking bait), working in a garden (even though I can't keep plants alive), paintball, playing catch, getting lost in thought, fixing things (computers, small engines, household appliances), and reading (even textbooks).

I'd like to meet:

The world's perfect cup of coffee, a chocolate bar spicy enough to make me sweat, strangers who read the same books as me, friends who I haven't seen in a while, and anyone who likes to play frisbee, someone to play pool with on the off days, or pretty much anyone willing to hang out and have a good time.

Music:

Dido, Bob Marley, Gigi D'agostino, the Killers, Nine Inch Nails, Bach, 10k Maniacs, Leonard Cohen, Mozart, Muse, DJ Skribble, Black Sabbath, Pulp, Fragma, Evanescence, Janis Joplin, Tina Turner, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Blue Oyster Cult, Cake, Paul Simon, Concrete Blonde, Mamas and the Papas, Black Eyed Peas, Marilyn Manson, Type O Negative, Patsy Cline, Pink Floyd, Queensryche, and more but this list is long enough.

Movies:

Zero Effect, Family Stone, LA Story, Pi, Fight Club, Baraka, While you were sleeping,

Television:

Farscape, Dead Like Me, X-files, Stargate SG-1, Family Guy, Futurama, Robot Chicken, Dr. Who (miss you 9), more to come...

Books:

Neverwhere/American Gods/Stardust/Smoke and Mirrors..all by Neil Gaiman, Black Sun Rising/When True Night Falls/Crown of Shadows/This Alien Shore by C.S.Friedman, Illusions by Richard Bachman, Anubis Gates by Tim Powers, Treason by Orson Scott Card, Diffusion of Innovation by Everett Rogers, Snow Crash/Diamond Age/Cryptonomicon by Neil Stephenson, Anything written by Terry Pratchett, N-Space by Larry Niven, ...there are more, but these are most of the ones I can keep rereading.

Heroes:

My parents of course, but mostly my older brother.

Orange

I love oranges, from their rinds to their juicy flesh. Definitely one of the better fruits on this planet. Mind you, they may not have the same juicy nature that mangos do, nor do they have the bite-...
