the idea was first conceived in 1994. our main reason for doing so was that we didn't want to work FOR anyone. it also had become apparent that the direction that the t-shirt industry was going was unhealthy. fewer numbers of big companies were producing large quantities of similar looking t-shirts in far away lands for as little money as possible, and then selling them in America at ridiculously high prices. the money gained could be used to market the hell out of the products, getting as many high profile people as possible to be in their advertisements and wear the garments. every boy and girl today wants desperately to fit in, so they all buy their t-shirts from the same four or five national chain stores, so they too can look like ashton kutcher or paris hilton. this has led to the homogenization of our culture. at gimmickwear, we create unique and vibrant designs and print them locally on american made t-shirts. we don't use untouchable celebrities or anorexic supermodels in advertisements, helping us keep your cost down. we are a small fish swimming up stream in the apparel industry. selling t-shirts is a fine business, but it is not our main goal. we hope by providing you with the best products at a great price, that together we can change the way America does business. if you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to email us:
