September 2007.
After 7 years of messed up business, getting in contact with all kind of Brazilian underground smartass rip-off producers, playing empty gigs with lousy equipments, begging for changes for doubtful promoters, begging for beer at dirty stupid bars, paying to pay, spending more money than profiting, and this list ain't short. Neither is our patience...
After losing some former member - a guitarist, Tocha, and two bass players, Dino and Xandão - the band, or what remained of it, decided it was time to put an end to this whole shit.
It's been years of fun, playing in cities like Curitiba, Londrina, Ponta Grossa, Florianópolis, Joinville, Blumenau, São Paulo, Bauru, Campinas, and Rio de Janeiro alongside with the coolest local or international bands; litters of beer; bottles of gin; drunk fights and empty loves; a number of releases, two full lengths and a best punk rock award indication in 2006. But when this stuff stops being fun and becomes a pain in the ass, well, it's time to let it behind and call the quit.
During all this time, all we can do is to thank the labels, and friends, that had the guts to put their time and money on our records: Mozine (Läjä); Vitão e Kinda (Navena); Ulysses (Pisces) e Pirulo (Rastrillo). These fellas were always supportive and believed in the Idols. Also everyone who gave us shelter, food and stuff everywhere we've been, the same way the kids who showed up at the concerts and spent their short money with our lousy stuff…
Last September 30th, 2007, Sad, Dino and Lucas went on stage for the last time as the Evil Idols at the 92 Degrees, Curitiba. If you weren't there, fuck you!
The Evil Idols...
