Broken Finger Stranglehold
Broken Finger Stranglehold © is a small venue gigging band.
It may seem weird to categorize our genre: Punk/Indie/Emo, as I don't usually like to categorize music. However, what we are trying to do is to create something with the attitude of Punk/Indie (the kind of 'do-it-yourself' attitude) and then give it a slight upbeat, rhythmic Indie/Ska tune but in full distortion with lyrics that are emotional (Emo). Plus a hint of metal and grunge.
This I say is PIE! Pie!! (yay it works!). Not all of our songs are PIE though, for example B-movie Heroes.
I would just like to say that System of a down are probably the most inspiring, clever and influencing band to us! I also think that Rum Shebeen and Ludes have been a great inspiration as well!
