About Me

Click this banner to go to my web site:

I am in love with Addie. I own an indie record label . I enjoy the esoteric. Click here to visit my livejournal page, which is where I post the majority of my actual blogging. Some of what appears there will appear here, but not all of it.

My Interests

Experiencing love, spreading joy and humor, creating, sharing experiences with good friends, understanding animals, awareness, remote viewing, the esoteric, sound, outer space, magick, UFOs, video games, board games, Tickling a Tids, learning, reading, stretching in bed when I first wake up, reading spam e-mails as if they are poetry, etc etc. I also write a comic called Violet for a magazine called Racket:

I'd like to meet:

Entities outside of normal human awareness. Addie after a long day of hard work -- she is cool and refreshing and beautiful.

Music:

Anything on spoomusic.com. Aphex Twin, Medeski Martin and Wood, High Contrast, Alpha Conspiracy, DJ Shadow, terminal 11, LP, Portishead, that first Sneaker Pimps album is classic, Squarepusher, just about anything on Monotonik, Massive Attack, Coppe, cliqhop, Adam F -- specifically his album Colours, RJD2, most Nine Inch Nails. Ambient, IDM, experimental electronic, some abstract hip hop, classical (Debussy, Chopin, Bach, Rimsky Korsakov, Mendelssohn, Ravel, Saint-Saenz, but I think my absolute favorite is Claude Debussy), jazz (Claude Bolling, Art Tatum, Bill Evans, Alan Broadbent Trio, The Ray Brown Trio, Phineas Newborn Jr., Mongo Santamaria, Sir Roland Hanna, Red Gardland, Miles Davis, and so many more)... On the whole I would say that I listen to music that makes me feel emotions that I enjoy. Especially love. I don't necessarily agree with the message, but there's nothing quite like the feeling of listening to Dr. Dre - The Chronic and Snoop Dogg - Doggystyle. I love live music. Wagon Christ aka Luke Vibert, Art of Noise, Proem, Proswell, Robert Rich, Modest Mouse, Gorillaz, Sean Lennon... and of course the all-powerful and brilliant WEIRD AL. And also Koji Kondo, Ellen Allien, Imogen Heap, Back Ted-N-Ted, Groove Armada, Lali Puna, Mouse on Mars, Neil Norman and His Cosmic Orchestra, The Moog Cookbook, Rose et Noire, Sergej Auto, Skinny Puppy, music from old spaghetti westerns, Taraf de Haidouks, Ratatat, BT, Air, Daft Punk, Deep Forest, Tricky, transient, vim!, Ochre, Mr. Projectile, Lackluster, David Byrne, Tin Hat Trio, Gogol Bordello, Bloc Party, Feist, Flogging Molly.

Movies:

An Inconvenient Truth, Sword in the Stone (the Disney cartoon), Dawn of the Dead (the newer one with the mall), The Fifth Element, Akira, Stargate, The Princess Bride (especially while paying close attention to the hilarious soundtrack), Titan AE, The Three Amigos, Pirates of the Caribbean, Top Secret, The Man Who Knew Too Little, This Is Spinal Tap, A Mighty Wind, Waiting for Guffman, Best In Show... basically all the Christopher Guest movies. Did you know he was also in Princess Bride? He's the six fingered man. I'm serious. Joseph Campbell being interviewed by Bill Moyers in a documentary called The Power Of Myth, Who Killed The Electric Car, Platoon, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Naked Gun, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade,

Television:

Stargate SG-1, The Office, Lost, Ren and Stimpy, Squidbillies, The Family Guy, The Simpsons, Outer Limits, Twilight Zone, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Sealab 2020, Daily Show, cool Discovery and PBS specials regarding the ocean and its inhabitants or outer space, most animal specials really, Keith Olbermann on MSNBC, Captain Planet, Adult Swim... but I would much rather write music, listen to music, play games than watch TV.

Books:

Pretty much anything by William Shakespeare and H. P. Lovecraft, The Reality Dysfunction, The Book of Lies, Astral Dynamics, anything by Roald Dahl (especially The BFG), Liber Al vel Legis, The Phantom Tollbooth is fantastic, Dave Barry, Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere + Stardust + Fragile Things (as well as the beautiful and mysterious Sandman comics)... Robert Anton Wilson (miss him), sci-fi and fantasy, Robert Heinlein, P.K.D., Rod Serling... I could go on because I likes the books. Manwatching by Desmond Morris, The Complete Guide to Game Audio by Aaron Marks, Audio For Games by Alexander Brandon. Aleister Crowley, Anton LaVey, Carl Sagan, Stephen Hawking. The Little Prince, The Assault On Reason, The Cross-Time Engineer... Adventures Beyond the Body by William L. Buhlman, Journeys Out of the Body by Robert Monroe (as well as the books that followed), The UFO Encyclopedia... CD inserts and album art liner notes... Tau Te Ching by Lao-Tzu, The Art of War by Sun-Tzu. The Most Dangerous Game by Richard Connell, The Doors of Perception by Aldous Huxley. The Teachings of Don Juan: A Yaqui Way of Knowledge by Carlos Castaneda. Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut, Douglas Adams, books about artists like Dali with lots of great pictures, instruction manuals, declassified military documents, texts in languages that I don't know how to read and yet I attempt to anyway.

Heroes:

Me-and-Addie are-is my hero-heroine.
