About Me

DELIGHT (Promoter). ZONE(Res Dj)
Ola Folks nice of ya to drop in and say Hi! !
You ever feel life is one long journey, like long winding bus ride, people come into your life and go out of your life, we are always stoping at different places. Is it mapped out who knows.
In life i get by, each days a new dawn hold things close, hold things which are precious tighter. I like to spin soulful, funky and jackin house, But hey if a tune is good its good no matter what genre it comes from.
Recent events have led me to dust of my oldskool collection which is something i hold close to my heart, A lot of memeories of hazy days can be had, lets be honest thats where it all started.
'You can never beat a classic track.'
Winning 'Breaking New Talent' in Eternity Magazine is where the groove. This led on to a guest spots at the legendary Club Kinetic in Stoke back 1997, Spinning Hardcore, Moving on to a residency at Zone in Wigan playing alongside Dougal, Slipmatt and Vibes, also Bowlers on there Asylum nights. With the emergence of Passion Fm 107.5 I moved into radio holding down a Sunday show 6 - 8pm called 'The Mind Gym'. Unfortunately in late 1998 the Northwest Hardcore scene was on the demise and at this point it was time to move in a different direction. For the next six years i worked as a sound engineer on the corporate music circuit working all over the UK.
In 2003 i took back the headphones at local clubs in the Northwest area. Trance had become popular and having my oldskool collection held me in good sted. Another ambition was to promote my own night. Which in 2004 'Replay' was born i co-promoted. The music policy was Italo House and Oldskool Piano. The nights were a roaring success. glow sticks where at the ready.
Late 2004 i made a family decision to move lock stock and barrel to Spain to a place called Torreveija on the Costa Blanca. Before i left the Uk i shipped my collection of vinyl over and stocked up on the latest House tunes, another change in musical direction you might say, But to me the best one i made. @House music all nite long "
' House was the way forward '
Within three months i had gained residencies at The Funky Buddha and my biggest achievement Pacha. Having 3000 people 'dancin' to your beat was an experience to behold. Now playing House music to hordes of Europeans who loved the English house sound the pieces slowly fitted together. I performed at Pacha at there 'Espuma' foam parties and The Funky Buddha for 2 years. Fitting in Guest spots in the Uk at Italian Dance and other venues. That was all until 2007 when another family decision, made me up root again and come back to the Uk.
A new chapter of my life is slowly but surely unfolding, will i get itchy feet again, hmmm its a possibility. Who knows which way the wind will blow.
' A good piece of music is like fine wine, it gets better with Age '
