Yasmin

Yasmin started up in the year 2003 when frontman Ron left his mates in the more or less famous Norwegian band Delaware in 2003. Ron was tired of making music in the rehersalroom, and after several tours and a recording for the Major Label Sony Music in Germany he decided to quit the band. It was a very tough decision since the bandmates had been his best friends for years. He then started to make music on his own without any interruptions from his former bandmates. But that was easier said than done; Ron had never used computers or synths for making music before, and things went pretty slow in the beginning. He had learned a few tricks from the German producer Georg Kaleve, but the confusion was complete when Ron bought some other programs and tried to change ideas from his head and down to a harddrive. After one year of drinking og partying he needed to get away from Norway and moved to Copenhagen/Denmark because of the terrible economical situation he was led into. The plan was to earn some money and concentrate 100% in doing music in his spare time. Penthouse studios was put up in Fredriksberg, and things started out pretty well. But if Drammen is a place for partying, CPH is quite a bigger scene. The hole idea with getting closer to the musical hauptstadt Hamburg in Germany had turned into one big party in CPH, and the music once again came in second row. So Ron jumped onto a plane to Norway with one goal; trying to Get his close friend Peter Vindèl convinced that they needed to really kickstart Yasmin together. Peter had at the moment just arrived from LA with his former band In_Zekt, and he was keen on doing Yasmin together with Ron. So finally in August 2006 things were where they should be, and the pre-recordings of the forthcomming album "YDFC" started.
