Music, music, again music, reading voraciously, sewing (there's few things worse than stepping onstage and someone in the audience is wearing what you're wearing), films, cooking, walking for hours and hours and losing yourself in it, more recently cycling and avoiding being killed on the roads.... I've just realised these are all solo passtimes, woe is me. Over the past year it seems I've taken to trying to arm-wrestle boys at parties, but only occaisionally to success. Won't stop me trying, or challenging the most ridiculously muscular man there though. Also enjoy visiting Belfast a lot.
I dunno. Ghandi?

Idiot box, throw your own away
I read constantly, and having recently moved house wihtout gaining my own TV, I get through about 5 a week at the moment.
Recent books I've been seeking and enjoying are by Isabel Allende, Iain M Banks (only with an M, or the Wasp Factory though) and the ever entertaining Terry Pratchett. Constant favourites include LOTR, Hitchhikers Guide, plus anything from the SF MAsterworks series. I love reading the whole output of certain authors, watching the descent into hell that accompanies genius, prime examples being Ellroy and Hunter S Thompson. I dislike too much flowery language, so out goes the poetry, trashy chick lit and Anne Rice , in with Haruki Murukami, who is SPELLBINDING, and Annie Proulx.
Don't talk to me about 'em.
