DJ SoLiTuDe

My Claim To Fame Is Knowing That I Don't Have One.

About Me

My name is John, or if you insist on calling me by my club name, then I am DJ SoLiTuDe. Love me or hate me, I am what I am. I'm considered an asshole to some, but considered one of the nicest people in the world to others. It all depends on your interpretation. Either way, I'm not gonna change who I am, what I stand for, and how I present myself for you.
I am currently a resident DJ at 2 event nights;
*Asylum Guild Saturdays at Club Pyramid in New York where I spin industrial/goth music.*
And
*Snap'm 1 Thursday a month at The Bayonne Arts Center In New Jersey where I spin trip-hop, ambient, electronica, experimental, and downtempo.*
I also do a lot of guest spots at different events. I’ll spin anywhere, usually for free, because I just love to do it. I’m not a rock-star DJ, I just love what I do.
I don’t limit myself to music. While I adore everything goth-scene-related, my roots stem from hip-hop and R&B. I also love to listen to jazz, trip-hop, trance, ambient, alternative, metal, blues, house, experimental, and classical. I see no point in discriminating just because I fall into a certain style. There’s too much out there to limit myself.
All I want to do with my time in this world is to make the most of it. Life is too short to get involved in unnecessary drama. I’m not out to win a popularity contest or hurt anyone along the way, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t. What matters in the end is how you right your wrong’s.
Finally, I will never settle for less than I feel I deserve, which we as humans tend to do so often. I just live my life to the fullest, regardless of what others may think about me.
Feel free to add me to your LiveJournal if you wish. Iamsolitude.

Music:

The earliest I can remember back was Billy Idol when my mom used to blast it while cleaning the house. From there I got into rap and R&B and remained loyal to it until about 02 when it became commercialized and full of shit. Save for very few acts out there now, I avoid it like the plague. I’ll always love the mid-90’s hip hop though. As of now, I am obsessed with all music from the gothic culture. This is a just a small list of what I like.

I buy ALL of my music from this place; support what you stand for!
