Your Life, Your Adventure...Is Now

About Me

This summer's been feeling like we're in a Tennessee Williams play! Hot, hot, hot!...and lots of humidity! Good thing we have a little A/C, huh? This month I've added another thing to do. I've recently become a Hofner Authorized dealer, so for anyone who wants a deal on a Hofner Guitar, feel free to check with me on it.Finally starting to rewrite the novel I wrote, and I have GOT to get some pictures related to my photograhy studio up on this page! Truth is, sitting on the computer, uploading pictuers is boring to me...so procrastination sets in.And I finally got a Line 6 Tone Port, so I plan to make some recordings soon, as well. Meanwhile...And as soon as I rewrite my novel, I plan to start a new one.Hey!...What's going your way?

Hey, I like LOTS of things. Very eclectic tastes. Very active. Interested in writing, writers, jazz guitar, most guitar playing, photography, more into books than TV, having fun watching YouTube, ebay, most anything to do with the arts, etc., music, painting, theater, film making, All the possibilities in the realm of radio that are not there, yet. AM radio, radios with analog dials that light up! World Band radio, music from the '30's on up! Vinyl and CDs! Staying in shape, Henry Mancini, cool soundtrack music from the '60's, that low, sleek style/decor from the '60's, Lots of white decor. the great B&W architectual photography by Julius Shulman from the early '60's...and the super modern style of those homes he photographed that STILL look modern! Love kids! Should have had one or more. Meanwhile, the best daddy in the world is going to waste! Common sense, and a rejection of political correctness. People who can think for themselves and don't have to 'check in' with the crowd to know what to do or how to think about something. People who don't 'edit' their thoughts before speaking, openly and honestly. People who wear their feelings 'on their sleeve.' Laughter, Silliness, Seriousness, Pets, Americana, good conversation, comfortable in jeans, comfortable in a tux. Style, confidence, substance. Just listing a few things that come to mind, right now. Will be back later to add more. ...Just give me a night

My Interests

Some are listed under my profile...and I'll come back when I have the time and put in more here. The profile is a good start, but not a complete list.

I'd like to meet:

People who share some of my common interests, period. Time moves by so fast. Just running into like-minded people by accident is too slow. And then there are those you have NOTHING in common with...but like being with. And then what a great vehicle this is for locating old friends you were never able to, before! I'm currently living in a small town. The internet offers much more opportunity than we ever had before to find new friends.

Music:

Jazz, old pop/rock, standards, classical, some old country (think the '60's - early '80's), Lots of old movie soundtracks...and some new. Music that create soundtracks for moments IN your life, like what you're listening to now, to fit this. Your life IS THE most important movie you'll ever experience. Music should be a part of it. YOU should choose it, not someone else.

Movies:

Lots of old ones. And every now and then...in a blue moon...a new one. Usually see those on DVD, unless on a date.

Television:

Except for old movies and some special presentations, I don't watch much TV. Seldom ever watch the three networks (ABC,NBC,CBS) Life's too short to spend on what's currently on most TV. What I see on the TV screen are mostly are DVDs or videos of older shows I've tracked down, located, taped or bought.

Books:

Far too numerous to mention. Must have gone way past 2K by now. I read 5 - 7 at a time. Read every day. Biography, Mystery, Main-Stream, Literature, History. Think, most every classic you've ever heard of, plus others.

Heroes:

Dave Pelzer comes to mind. Read THE LOST BOY and A MAN CALLED DAVE, and you'll understand why. Others you wouldn't know. Real people. People who accompish things. You have to find them yourself. There are a few more I'll mention later.
