A Giant Among Dwarves

About Me

Text by TURTLE. Well-meaning and rather distracting running commentary (in parentheses) by D.A.R.Y.L.--------UPDATED FEBRUARY 2008 Constantine & George Georgiadis were born in Thessaloniki, Greece ( no, they were born in Roosevelt Hospital, Manhattan, New York City, NY state, Trisate Area, USA - but did grow up at aforementioned place ) prime sheep-fucking country ( try birthplace of Western civilization ). Despite the obvious handicap ( ahem ) of not-being-from-here, they have excelled in the ways of Art, Design & Music ( why, thank you! Y'aint-haf-bad chu'seouf ). They run a successful INTENTIONALLY DELETED and still find the time to be in this fantastic indie band. ( We're an Indie band? WTF! )

The bass player, Nancy ( NJ ) and the guitarist, Michael ( West Lothian, SCOTLAND ), came along minutely later in the game. They were happy to add to the mix their special blend of talent, tattoos, odd taste in clothing and shoewear and good-old-fashioned American ( um ) know-how. Resident foreigner Constantine sings and brings; resident American Nancy helps. Presiding Legal Alien Michael Corrects. And George does the other half.

TELECOM LOVES: playing the new songs, politics, singing better, Gibsons, tape op magazine, cigarettes, caramel lattes, corona (G, N) / sam adams (C) / guiness, stella (M) / jameson (N), speaking of - James Deering, speaking of - James's Roland amp, Karl (what's Karl's last name?), Lou Marron, The Annex, Snitch, snatch, Clinton Van Gemert, Bob Zimmerman, Marc and Marlo Clemente, great-looking but actually unfit audio equipment, Bruce Smith, Jify Shah, Shaoting, molecular-level amp modeling (or, quite possibly, just fortuitous flukes ), listening to our own songs at full volume, being glad, in bed, the competition, and most of all the ruthless, the just, the audacious who seek us out, champion and support us and come to the shows.
