About Me

Online Now Icons
I like to think of myself as multifaceted.......have many skills and sides to my personality, in many ways am a plethora of opposites, so I can get along with a variety of folks, and can see more than one side of a discussion. I tend to be a bit verbose, but also spend a lot of time deep in thought. I do my best to make the world a little bit better place to be in. I am an intelligent gal, and think slowly and logically, unless my heart speaks first...MY MODUS OPERANDI: Unpredictable Predictability and Disorganized Organization.....I did say I was a plethora of opposites! Just when you think I am home, I won't be and no one will know where I am...when you think I have forgotten you, I will call. If you clean off my desk, I will not be able to find anything (you will probably have screwed up my whole world) and the document you were looking for was two-thirds down in the third pile from the left - it will now take at least a month to find it again...I am a firm believer that whatever is important to you is what you invest a lot of your TIME in...time is very important to me, as is knowledge, yet wisdom is priceless and even more desirable. I am one who is very friendly and outgoing, knowing many people, but prefer a small comfortable circle of friends and family that I can know really well, rather than a million that I can only know superficially. I also believe a sense of humor is invaluable, and one must enjoy the little things in life to truly appreciate the greater things. I think one must be willing to take risks, and be able to be decisive and to be big enough to accept the consequences of your actions and decisions, as we all make mistakes, but can we learn from them and apply it to future opportunities?

My Interests

Science is most areas, esp chemistry, biology, and physics, Mathematics, Art, Music, Movies, Photography, Cooking, Writing, Gardening (especially growing roses),and many others too numerous to mention.

I'd like to meet:

Dennis Quaid, my all-time favorite actor, but in all fairness Gary Sinise has fabulous talent there. If it were possible would love to meet Einstein, Aristotle, Plato, and God(in spirit of course, as God is not anthropomorphic)but I sure could get in on some good discourse with that bunch! If you're intellingent and interesting, I might like to meet you too! Cappucino anyone?I also would like to meet a few who share my interests, and can have a bit of fun too.......like taking a weekend off to go whale watching in Gloucester, Mass.......or maybe a good game of chess, or a pool tournament or a game of Pictionary where the loser has to fix dinner for the rest......a bit of a challenge is always good.

text="white"Love most types of music from classical to rock, including easy listening, a bit of reggae, country, and even a little rap. Like to play my 12-string acoustic on melancholy days.

Movies:

Like all kinds of movies, from cheezy romances to sci-fi to horror, but prefer ones that say something to me....a couple of faves....What Dreams May Come and D.O.A.

Television:

Do not watch television as a rule, but when I catch it somewhere like the Sci-Fi channel, Discovery, and some of those forensic shows.

Books:

I love to read, mainly delving into Science Fiction, Spiritual/Philosophical texts, and Technical Manuals. My favorite book has always been Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. The Way of the Peaceful Warrior is another favorite. Fiction is good too, and read about anything I can get ahold of that will hold my attention and stimulate my mind.

Heroes:

My late brother Fred, whose love was unconditional, far reaching, and ever present, even when he wasn't physically there. We had many of the same aspirations and would love to see some of them to fruition in his stead.

Guilty as Charged

For those of you (as Don Henley so aptly put it) "Dirty Laundry" myspace folks, this will be quite uninteresting. In the slightly alterated words of Captain John Paul Jones aboard the Bon Homme Richar...

Indecision

We are much too often guilty of indecision in our lives, as if our physical being is eternal, and time is of no consequence. It seeps into our psyche like a slow poison, paralyzing us from a...
