About Me

The Exchange is a long established mastering studio serving the music industry for more than twenty years. It's renowned for its high quality and big open sound. The secret is to keep the signal path simple, direct and clean so that none of the original recording is destroyed. The tools of mastering are hard wired analogue and digital processors connected by pure silver cables and specialised connectors. Our engineers have a history of working with an eclectic mix of musicians and producers. Each project is approached on an individual basis with the aim of respecting the original material and giving it a presence that engages the listener.
With the developments in digital audio we can now offer the facility to master from almost any type of audio file, whether it be delivered by hand or via the web. The Exchange is known for its friendly relaxed atmosphere where clients feel comfortable whilst participating in the mastering session. Our engineers are also happy to explain the process without technical jargon.
