About Me

Music appreciating bastards from different background that are met by chance. Despite the different influences, they share the same interest for certain substance. And there they made Whitelight, the alternative to reggae which had long been a favourite to Fred Flintstones. Whitelight's a blend of emotion stirring music that comes in an explosive package which spells shoegaze post-rock and instrumental rock.Formed back in middle 2003 when Alvin and Feeren are wasting their ass off Nandos Gurney Penang. Their boredom fortunately are lightened by bubblish Chris Nordmann whom after school mission is preaching Dungeons and Dragons sermons with friends in Gurney. Chris found quick friends in Nandos and they soon roped in Darshen, a friend whom Alvin shared alot of music influences with during his Severed metal era.Jamming have never been so positive since then. Gigs come and go. Whitelight was soon a regular headlining band for Soundmaker. They knew they had made is somewhat and everything had not gone into waste as Chris finally was to return to his motherland.Omesh took up the spot left vacant and Whitelight's reign sustained till this day. Although now inactive due to Penang's underground dry spell and Darshen's commitment in Kl. Whitelight has finished recording the long awaited album and is making plans for album designs. All this possible with the help of Sina, ex-drummer of Damn Dirty Apes and now Mailerdaemon in Australia. For gigs and recording contracts, Whitelight may be reached at 012-4076647 or 016-4756150.
