About us:
Huruf is made out of a 4 very unique individuals whose passion is music and aims to create a fresh new breath in the music scene of today. The music that we create is a mixture of Indo style fused with raw modern alternative & Indie waves that creates the atmosphere that gives its listeners the "just right" atmosphere.
We are made up of musicians that believe that there should be a sense of freedom in music. The culture of freedom. If your looking for fine skill and complicated techniques, I'm sorry you cant find that here. What we offer is the unique sound, strong messages and our strong believes that we want the world to listen to.
The name "Huruf" was chosen because of the unique blend of its band group members. It is significant because the "Huruf" - meaning alphabets in Malay, reflects its band members of different ethnic, race and believes; especially in a multiracial country we live in - our beloved Malaysia.

Freddy:
Main guitarist that does everything at the present moment. "The great planner and motivational spoke person" of the band lol:). He had been playing guitar since high school and had never regretted it ever since! giving our tracks the right kind of energy boost! He is also greatly influenced by Japanese music. He's all time favorite quote:-
"What the hell...you have to come for practice tonight! Make time!" or
"Wanna fish tonight?"

Nas:
Nas, what will we do without him? He is the main backbone that supports Huruf. Being the main song writer and composer; he dedicatedly splits himself into all to make sure the song comes up right. Nas is currently the bands bassist that comes up with crazy rhythms with lots of Indonesian influence.

Jamie:
Jamie is the latest addition to Huruf's unique group. She’s currently Huruf’s keyboardist and band designer as well. All pictures posted up here is done by her (Well done!). She listens to all kinds of music genre, especially deviant bands that are good but unheard to the world. She shapes the band and makes sure that it stays in shape. Always with a sharp ear, Jamie corrects glitches and adds flowery, colorful effects and rhythm to brighten our tracks!

Mike:
Mike, the guy who plays the drums in Huruf; will not consider himself a "drummer" until he is full satisfied with acquiring some solid drum skills. He comes up fresh beats for the band, adding the beats to the flow of the song. He makes it a point to really start improving because of the challenge his bassist (Nas) always gives to him. Mike basically does the marketing with Freddy and information on the band. He also works with Maxon, a company that deals with computer hardware’s and creating new generation type of web-pages; so if any fans are interested; you can give him a call.
