About Me

"Revenge Of The Sith"

First things first:
Here are the dates and times I saw "Revenge Of The Sith" in theatres in 2005:

May 23rd - 4:00pm
June 6th - 7:00 pm
June 15th - 12:00pm
June 18th - 12:00pm
July 26th - 12:40pm
Why am I telling you this? Because 'Revenge Of The Sith' kicks ass! I was a so-so Star Wars fan up until I saw 'Sith' in 2005. It not only became my #3 favorite film of all time (which is saying alot, trust me) but it rejuvenated my interest in something I hadn't really thought a lot about since 'Return Of The Jedi' in 1983.

Okay, now a little more 'about me'. Okay, so for most of 2007 I've been giving respect to one of the greatest Science Fiction sagas ever made (no, not Star Wars... Planet of the Apes... haven't you been paying attention?!)

Well I've decided now was the time to showcase my gamer side... which tends to lean more towards Star Wars gaming! One of the first games I owned for my Atari 2600 back in 1982 was "The Empire Strikes Back", which I purchased at Walgreens for $5.00 along with the now infamous "E.T. - The Extra Terrestrial" for Atari (also $5.00) and now, here 25 years later, I'm still collecting Star Wars games and loving every minute of play I can get in.

Below are a few trailers to some of my favorite games, as well as a selection of games I play the most. I just found "The Clone Wars" today for PS2!

Be sure to check my photo section "Geek Stuff" for some of my own photos and one of which showcases my entire Star Wars video game collection. Oh yeah, you're jealous! ;)

Now although I'm definitely a Star Wars fan from the gaming aspect, the nostalgic side of me also misses the days when buying a Darth Vader action figure (complete with lightsaber) or some of the cool vehicles (e.g. AT-ST, Imperial Tie Fighter or Millenium Falcon) or the even cooler playsets (e.g. The Death Star Space Station, Dagobah and Hoth Battle Station playsets).
Therefore, I felt the need to buy two of what I feel are probably the coolest books in my collection. Behold!:

My interests... hmm... let's see. Other than spending time with my wife and two sons, and talking to my best friend Jewels, my other interests include:

Writing about science fiction and Elvis Presley, gaming (mainly Star Wars, The Matrix, a few Marvel titles and a lotta early 80's retro), watching movies (mainly ones from my dystopian collection (see Movies), listening to music and reading.

Heroes:

My wife Sellia, who always knows how to straighten me out when I lose control. She always puts me first, even when I don't deserve to be. I've realized recently just how much I need her by my side. When I'm gone for too long without her, I feel lost, I feel empty, I feel sad. She's one of the few reasons my heart continues to beat.***
My two sons Aaron and Cree who keep me smilin' even when the world seems too much to take. They both drive me crazy, each in their own unique ways. But Cree's been the best son a father could ever ask for. And Aaron... well uhhh...Aaron's my little Spiderman, who gets into more trouble than any one superhero should. But none of that really matters, as long as he smiles and says "Hi Daddy". I couldn't imagine living in this world without them.***
Julie is the most considerate and thoughtful person I know. She's always willing to listen to me go on and on and on about anything, and she never ceases to make me laugh. But mainly she's one of the coolest people in the world. She'll probably say I'm full of shit, but don't let the modesty fool you.***
My father Aaron and mother Belinda Jean, my grandfathers Robert and Gordon, my grandmother Dottie and my brother Kevin who need no explaination.***
Elvis Presley, the greatest entertainer who ever lived. When you died, a big part of this world died along with you.***
Freddie Mercury, a star that died much too earlier. You are sorely missed, my friend****
Billy Corgan, the one songwriter in the world who's lyrics seem to parallel my life. Two of my most prized possessions are an autographed book of his poetry (Thanks Jewels!) and his guitar pick from my last Smashing Pumpkins concert on May 6, 2000. If emotion had a voice, it would be Billy Corgan's. ***
George Harrison, my favorite Beatle and a man who never ceases to inspire. Hare Krishna!***
Paul McCartney... heck what can I say Paul. I've been listening to your music since I was 10 years old. And no matter what adventures I've gone through, no matter what's happened in my life, good and bad, your music has always been there. Thanks for the music Sir Paul!***
