Messing in my garden and yard, making stuff grow. Searching endlessly in thrift stores for that perfect bargain. Addicted to Craig's List. Coffee. Old Victrola players and antiques. Enlightening and speaking to people about gender and equality issues, speaking out against hate on campus. Drag Kings and drag culture. Butch/Femme. Gadgets that turn into other gadgets. Shiny things. Cops and security guards. Emergency response preparedness. Photography - the "old" time I guess now as in 35mm B&W. Dark chocolate. Zippo lighters. Coffee - the good kind. Chivalry is still alive and well. Northern toilet paper, over the top, never Charmin. A good sound system. Clean, white socks. Boxes - old wooden boxes in particular but stone boxes are cool too. Cowboy boots with holes in the bottom of them. Black leather. Free stuff. Doggy day dreams. Tax returns. Coffee, did I mention I really like coffee? Mountain streams trickling, whispering aspen trees turning colors on a crisp morning and the smell of dirt and pine needles.
Courage, strength, fortitude. Power not arrested in the act of judgement, but passing on to further action, sometimes obstinacy.
This is a card of courage and energy. It represents both the Lion's hot, roaring energy, and the Maiden's steadfast will. The innocent Maiden is unafraid, undaunted, and indomitable. In some cards she opens the lion's mouth, in others she shuts it. Either way, she proves that inner strength is more powerful than raw physical strength. That forces can be controlled and used to score a victory is very close to the message of the Chariot, which might be why, in some decks, it is Justice that is card 8 instead of Strength. With strength you can control not only the situation, but yourself. It is a card about anger and impulse management, about creative answers, leadership and maintaining one's personal honor. It can also stand for a steadfast friend.

Any swishy gay boys (bois & grrls), any cool gender queer people, people who like to fuck up gender norms, passionate queer activists and dog lovers. People who work hard at what they do. Anyone that can laugh at themselves or make someone else laugh. People who listen, ask questions, and can hear answers that maybe don't match exactly how they themselves think and be ok with that. Coffee drinkers. All the threads of six degrees of separation that weave us together. (And Garth Brooks if that would ever happen.)img src=http://www.myspacedev.com/img/icons/gay/139.jpg
I like a lot of the indy music, stuff with a story in it...I'm a dork - I have to be able to understand the lyrics. I have a soft spot for Garth Brooks.

Old cookbooks (yep) I cook. Leslie Feinberg, Joan Nestle, Taste This, Judith Butler-wordy as hell, but wise. Random Security manuals on just about anything. Not much of a reader, more of a visual person...too many words, not enough pictures. Love Bites made it across the border!

My Dad for sure. He's always told the truth, is honest with people, helps others when they are in need, he's curious, fascinated by nature, get's angry when there's injustice, takes action even though no one else will, he's humble and gracious, and never looks for credit where credit is due. That pretty much sums up what a hero is to me. Oh, and Superman because he changed into tights in a phone booth, kind of like a drag king but different.
