99% Irish - Who said it was fair
The story of Per.
When he was a little boy he played cornet in a marching band, but when he reached his teens he traded his little cornet for a much cooler guitar. And he's been playing guitar ever since. Over the years he has played in lots of bands, trio's, shows, as a studio musician and the list goes on and on. In between all his guitar playing he managed to get quite a career within the Norwegian millitary, and served abroad in both Bosnia and Kosovo. After he quit the millitary he was asked to join the band Silent Trees. This was a original band, and he was happy to join. The front person of this band was an amazing songwriter and vocalist named Bjørn Syversen. And for a time they played at some venues and even joined a national music-contest where they got a very good fourth place. They also got outstanding critiques from newspapers etc when they played concerts. But mostly they worked in a studio and actually managed to master a Cd. A great Cd I might add. Because of changes within the band and not enough time, this project was iced. But I'm sure we haven't heard the last of Silent Trees.
Soon after, Per started in another band, Kennedys Klan. This is mostly a cover band and they used to tour all over Norway all year round. He..s also involved in the 99% Irish project, which is a blend of cover and original songs with Corrinne Kennedy in the lead. It's rock with both Norwegian and Irish influences, and they also have a cool fiddler in the band. A violin in a rock band? it can't get much better than that.
And next year will see the start of more projects and even a musical. As if all this was not enough, Per has been a full time student at the Noroff Institute, where he was studying Sound and Music production.
September 2007- april 2008 Per joined Lars Kristoffersen..s band Rainbow. They did alot of traveling around Norway, and a few gigs in Spain. Kennedeys Klan is now "dead" as well as 99% Irish, none of these bands will ever return, its all history now. Per will probably do some acoustic gigs now and then in 2008 with a good friend, and some sessions work with well known Norwegian artist Lillebror Sande Larsen. Thats more and less whats have been done, and what some of the plans for the future is.
One of Per's greatest inspirator and mentors has been Mr. Steve "Luke" Lukather, and Per's been lucky enough to meet him and talk/hang with him on several occasions, and become a friend. So a BIG thank you to him.
