About Me

I live in the picturesque city of Bath, where I work as the editor of the World's Best Modified Car Magazine - Fast Car. Here I spend my days shouting at my editorial boys, who spend far too much time 'researching' glamour model's websites.
I've worked in the car magazine sector since 1997, when I started as a freelancer on Fast Car. I then moved up to staff writer, then features editor, dep ed and finally editor. After a few years driving fast cars, hob-nobbin' with Page 3 girls, free lunches and travelling the world on 'blags', I decided to throw in the towel, and move 'upstairs' to work on the launch of 2 new car magazines.
Since those heady days, I've also worked on Classics, Carbuyer, Redline and J-Tuner.
Sadly, J-Tuner closed after 20 issues in November 2006, but I wasn't sad for long, as it meant I could return to the magazine that spawned me - Fast Car! So here I am once again, back in the driving seat of the World's Best Modified Car Magazine - good times!

My Interests

Spend way too much time on my Xbox 360/sifting through iTunes and browsing the interweb

I'd like to meet:

Friends, Romans, Countrymen and nudie-model types. Genghis Khan too, if he wasn't dead.

Music:

I've got all sorts stacking-up on my iTunes, but when the neighbours are out, or I'm in my car, it's trance, old-skool, hard-house, happy-hardcore and gabba all the way!!! Strangely, I also like ABC's "All of My Heart" (happy-hardcore version anyone?!) and I have 20 different mixes of Jones & Stephenson-Trance Allstars' First Rebirth...

Movies:

Anything by Luc Besson. Anything with Bob De Niro in it, and Scarface, because it taught me how to swear properly - F@*!n' Cock-a-roach! And Brit gangtser flick Sexy Beast - No, no no no no no! You know what I'm talking about! lol!

Television:

The Simpsons rule both heaven and earth, closely followed by The Mint on ITV - mmmmm Alex Kramer - num nums!

Books:

I spend all day looking at words (which my highly trained team of journos have usually spelt wrong), so reading isn't high on my list of 'must dos' when I get home. However, I did read Tat the Cat when I was about 4-years old. Good times!

Heroes:

I'll never get to meet my one true hero, mainly because he's a cartoon character. Nope, it's not Sponge Bob Square Pants, it's my life-long soul-buddy Homer Simpson.
