JP launched a career as a recording and performing artist in October 2003, when he got down to doing his first solo album, Ogopa Mungu (Swahili for "Fear God").This album, which features 12 tracks of mixed genres, was recorded and produced by Chuqua Records and JP and released in January 2004, then JP was a BSc student of Computer Science and Engineeering at Maseno University, Western Kenya. Since then, JP has also worked on a new 10 track album, Eri A (A luo language expression meaning "Here I am"), to be released in January 2007.JP mixes his native Luo language, English and Swahili languages in his tracks to communicate his message to his audience. JP has featured majorly in prolife campaigns in Western Kenya, performing his new track, "Slay?" among others, at many Prolife campaign functions at colleges and Churches, organized by the Dominican Fraternity (see http://www.eafricadominicans.org/kisumu.php ) in Western Kenya, East Africa.Quoted: "My music is a ministry to bring God's mercy to every Soul that listens to it. In my latest album, Eri A, the track - Yu Mwema- meaning He is good, talks about how despite my weakness as a human being, God remains good and merciful to me to make me His child forever. All i have to do is just trust Him that He is able to make me new as His child. This is a summary of my Ministry in Music."Featuring in Eri A (c)2007, the album, is "Candle" a song authored by Maria Goretti (not the Saint, but will one day be a Saint by God's grace)(written as a poem in October 2005). This track is available on this site for listening, download and comment. Don't worry if you don't understand Swahili. The parts in English all communicate the whole theme. Besides his own solo work, JP has featured in Accapella performances at Church and college concerts in Western Kenya, working with T-Voisful of Melvo Acapella and Terry Wafula among others. JP has also worked as a producer for T-Voisful, Terry Wafula, Ishara among other artists.The music goes on...
