About Me

I have the viewpoint of someone that has almost died and lived to tell about it. I’m still healing, and I would have never believed that it would take this long to do so. It’s been a hard road. I must say in someways I've changed; in others, not. Best of all, I still have my sense of humor.I now tell all of my friends that I love them, whether they like it or not. Surprisingly, no one begrudges me.Sometimes I feel like I'm just a part of what I used to be - my cheap impostor.Wow, maybe I did die:

My Interests

Being in the woods. Going to the drive-through car wash. Wandering the streets of Europe late at night. Wandering anywhere late at night. Late night architectural tours of strange neighborhoods. Snooping in abandoned buildings. Reading. Taking things apart and putting them back together. Writing. Comedy. Writing comedy. Goofing off w/ my friends. Bothering politicians. Listening to music. Singing. Dancing. Working out. Listening to people (everyone has a story). Learning things. Thinking. Laughing. I can make myself laugh thinking of things. Classifying things. Measuring things. Comparing things. Doing other nerdy things. Hunting for free food in the forest, especially mushrooms. Lithuania. Other parts of Europe. Traveling. Ethnic religions. Romuva. Trying to change the world for the better. CodePink. My Blue-Fronted Amazon Parrot. Art. Photography. Photoshop. Making things by hand. Making booze. Knitting and sewing. Creating things is a wonderful thing. Riding my bike, which is something I still have not done since my accident. Trying to play the guitar.

I'd like to meet:

I like to meet all people in general, and usually talk to anyone I come in contact with. I try to dazzle them with my shtick. I especially enjoy the creative, funny, and super-intelligent.I don’t want to meet people that are rude, ignorant, arrogant, humorless, uncaring, unfeeling, and unsympathetic.Make me laugh and I'll be your friend forever. Treat me kindly and I'll love you forever.

Music:

Any music at all that shows creativity or shows some kind of musicianship. This leaves out a lot of stuff. Fortunately, there's a lot of good stuff to listen to. I just wish I had more time.

Movies:

I have the gift of watching a movie, forgetting it, and then I get to watch it again like it was the first time. Kind of.

Television:

I have a love-hate relationship with television. I would like to write for television, but I probably would never watch the show.

Books:

How-to books, manuals, textbooks, Lithuanian folklore and mythology, Chicago history, mysteries, novels, comic books, cereal boxes, ingredient lists on the back of anything, and anything else that has something printed on it, including place mats, cocktail napkins, and if I'm lucky enough, printed toilet paper.

Heroes:

My dishwasher. My washer and dryer. My refrigerator. My kids. My parents. My friends. Some of my relatives. My ancestors. My professors, and anyone else that's ever taught me something, including small children. My pets, present and former. All of my friends that I have worked with over the years to change the world for the better in different ways. Thank you for your selflessness. Last but not least, the g-boys. They have taught me patience, spontaneity, wonderment, how to be silly, and unconditional love. Actually, I knew all of this before, but they have brought me to the master class. I love you guys like there’s no tomorrow.

I'm in school again!

I'm back at IIT! I am officially a student, and registered 3 hours before my first class.   It's great to be back! The campus is downright beautiful, and so much has been rehabbed since I wa...

death and funerals

Well, I just did another funeral. I don't do them often, only when the person really meant something to me, or if it's one of the relatives of someone very close to me. I actually hadn't been ...
