About Me

Ambitious football club from Cheltenham. Originally formed in the 70's, the club name originates from the location of The Bell Inn - which lies on the corner of Belmore Place - and the landlord of the pub, who was a passionate Partick Thistle fan, known as the Jags. The club was re-established in 2001.we always welcome new players and sponsorship. The club play their home games at Whaddon Rec, literally a stones throw away from League One side Cheltenham Town FC's home ground - Whaddon Road.

Ben Trigg
Goalkeeper
’Trigger’ has made great strides this season, having played his way from the third team, up to the first team. A great shot stopper, Ben seems to improve in confidence every game he plays.
Jez Mann
Fullback
Jez is one of Belmore’s longest serving players. Fit as a fiddle and will work tirelessly for the club, wearing his heart on his sleeve every time he pulls on the shirt. Jez’s unpredictability can also cause problems for opposition defences on the rare occasions he gets up the field.
Matty Rawlings
Fullback/Winger
Another player with fitness in abundance, Matty can get up and down all game long, an excellent wing-back. Matty has sometimes felt restricted at right back this season, but has still put in some good performances for the team. A valuable player, with a great ‘never say die’ attitude
Dave Cleal
Fullback/Centre Back
Dave is a sharp player, who prefers to play on the left hand side, but has been often asked to play centre-half because he has great hang-time and good pace. Can deal with just about any striker on his day. But, sometimes gets frustrated playing in restricted positions and has a tendency to go looking for the game.
Dave Mills
Centre Back
Big Dave is a typical centre half, no-nonsense and tough tackling. Great in the air. Loves a last ditch tackle, sometimes leaving everyone with their hearts in their mouths when he chooses to do it in his own box, sometimes coming to the rescue just when you need it.
Ben Fisher
Centre Back
Ben is another no-nonsense centre half. Loves a tussle with a big striker, and will make his life a living hell. Never caught on the ball, Ben’s first thought is always to protect his own goal. Seems to work well with any other centre half, probably because you always know what to expect from him.
Neil Jackson
Centre Back
Unfortunately, injuries have restricted Neil to only a handful of appearances this season, which is a great shame for the team. A man mountain, Neil thrives on using his power and strength to make his opponents wake up in cold sweats.
Phil Crabb
Fullback/Centre Back
The manger has made only a couple of appearances this season, including being forced to play in goal because of injury. Old fashion defender: Tackle, get rid.
Mike Kember
Winger
Mike has a lovely touch, and looks so comfortable with the ball at his feet. Can not be faulted this season, has put in some really strong performances. Also popping up with a couple of lovely goals.
Richard Carpenter
Centre Midfielder
Classy player with a lovely knack of knowing the right time to turn on the ball. Has a great leap when he chooses to use it. Calm on the ball and can turn the course of the game.
Phil Jackson
Centre Midfielder
Phil is a tough tackling midfielder, who loves to get in amongst it. Enjoys playing in the holding role, where he can get the ball back and he has great distribution with the ball at his feet.
Ben Fountain
Centre Midfielder
Cocky geezer. Knows how to read the game, and always thinks before playing a pass. Decision making is normally spot-on. Suffers when the currant bun is in his mince pies.
Neil Lockyer
Winger
This boy has bags of pace, and loves to run at the defence. A real positive player, and will give you 90 mins of top effort. Has a nasty habit of hitting the roofs of the houses behind the away end goal.
Matt Giles (shitty)
Midfielder/Attacker
A great strong footballer, can hold the ball up or get at defenders. Has a good leap and will win headers that it appears he has no right to win. Has been accepted as one of the boys, even though he’s Welsh.
Simon Baker
Attacker/Midfielder
This boy has got more tricks than Paul Daniels, loves to dribble with the ball. Brilliant attitude to the game, doesn’t care who he’s up against, he’ll have a go at them from the off. 3rd team managers player of the year last term and has successfully made the step up to the first team, as everyone knew he would.
Travis Robinson
Striker
The ginger ninja loves to get at defenders, and knows where the back of the net is. Can play anywhere on the park, but has worked hard for the team up front this season. It is questionable whether he’s got more goals or yellow cards though.
Sean Whiteside (goat)
Striker
Feed the goat and he will score. Another player to have stepped up to the first team this season, showed his real class against Prestbury in the cup earlier in the season. Can also play at full back, but has great imagination, so suits the forward role well, when things come off for him.
Alvin Nurse
Striker
Quick striker who will run at players all game. Works really hard to get round the defence and can finish neatly when he gets there. Pace is his biggest asset, but he also has a lot of skill on the ball.
