About Me

Check out my blog ( HERE ) for lots of sexy photos of vegetables and old cars!

My Interests

camping, hiking, photography, reading, mountain biking, hang-gliding, travel, Irish and Scandinavian culture, Dutch coffeeshops, eclectic neo-paganism, old Volkswagens, science fiction, writing, computers, robotics, alternative energy, wood floors, most shades of green and purple, organic gardening, rural living, vandwelling, raising goats, the constitution (remember that?), motorcycling, cooking, bread making, drum circles, homebrewing, winemaking...

I'd like to meet:

An interesting person now and then. Not too many; I love the solitude out here in the Coast Range, and prefer a few really good friends over a ton of acquaintances.

Music:

Very incomplete and in no particular order -Casey Neill, Finntroll, Cruachan, Varttina, Gwydion Pendderwen, Korpiklaani, Grateful Dead, Ratdog, Black 47, Slayer, Cramps, Johnny Cash, Billie Holiday, Pogues, Shaman, Dead Kennedys, Lourds, Skadanks, Ramones, Dropkick Murphys, Dana Lyons, Beatles, Zep, Doors, Stones, Sabbath, Janis, Bowie, Cyndi Lauper, Tatts Stroker, Beastie Boys, Hedningarna, Marley, Tosh, Rocker-T, David Peel, Horrorpops, No Doubt...And...here I am coming totally out of the closet on this...symphonic metal, the cheesier the better. I listen to Nightwish, Edenbridge, Holyhell, Within Temptation, etc. like a 13-year-old girl. If it sounds like a really bad movie soundtrack, it's likely on my iPod. There. I said it. Now I will have nightmares in which Tom Araya and Cronos hunt me down and disembowel me for not being Tru =p

Movies:

Brazil, Blade Runner, The Beans of Egypt Maine, Fried Green Tomatoes, Loose Change, Dune...

Television:

I download Battlestar Galactica every week. The last contact I had with an actual television involved propping one up in a quarry and blasting it with a shotgun, which is pretty much what they're good for. Oh, that, and finishing the job of making you a cowardly retard that the school system started.

Books:

Henry Miller, Tom Robbins, thrift-store sci-fi paperbacks, lots of non-fic

Heroes:

People who can use their brains and their hearts simultaneously...people who risk it all for their beliefs, or even to be free and happy...teachers, firefighters, nurses, revolutionaries. And people who show up at my house with good microbrews.
