An organization dedicated to positive social development through creativity and forward thinking. This will be a safe and nurturing environment where students of all ages, race and gender can explore and expand their creativity. Close the gap between socio-economic rifts by providing art education and enrichment for positive creativity and community development. We will believe in tradition but understand that with every new generation we evolve as a society....a society where peace, justice, equality and simple goodness must exist amongst a world of chaos....the good will always prosper.Dream... The Workshop began in the summer of 2005 as a small dance troupe with a summer showcase; slowly it has developed and branched into an idea of Positive Creativity.The Future... Expand into outreach centers at the border of low and high income neighborhoods that would allow for alternative education including yoga for physical education credit. The Workshop Miami will be Miami-Dade’s Julliard; we are planning the opening of a facility within our community that will allow students to receive instruction in alternative and fine arts from the musicians, artists, dancers, and business leaders that come directly from our community. An example of our class offering will include dance in all forms, alternative music like hip hop and rock with specialty classes like mixing, sound mastering and production. Furthermore our curriculum will include instruction in art and fashion design as well as tattoo culture for elective credits. Another division at The Workshop Miami will include marketing, sales, production, and professional and business development.
