Let's see...what defines me the most? I'm a pastor's wife. That defines things a lot. I'm also a student. I'm studing to teach elementary students. As my husband said once, "God has really given [me] a heart for children." It took me a little while and another career to realize what I was called to do but now I can't wait to get there. One day we may even be foster parents but we have to wait and see what God puts on Derek's heart. So I'm a wife (full time job), go to school (usually full time) lead the girls' side of our junior high group (certainly a lot of time) and I work full time for a construction company. I'm just leaving my company of almost 8 years to go work for a smaller company that builds custom homes. I'm so excited about it because it seems like a great move for me. I'm also a Christian, which is number 1 in my life. Nothing ranks before God. However, my husband is second. He compliments me in every way and supports me in all that I do...even when I'm dancing through the grocery store and embarassing the daylights out of him. We both enjoy having fun...so we look for it in most that we do. I love to all sorts of things from having game nights with friends, to watching football on the weekends. I love sports...well...minus golf-it's just too slow. Then again I used to say I'd never listen to country and now I love it...go figure. I have lots of energy so I love being active...I also love people. I'm pretty social, and used to be "one of the guys" but I still love to hang out with my girls and be "chick"-ish at times. I like almost everyone, until they give me a reason not to. I'm super goal oriented so I'm always on the go. I plan my social calendar weeks in advanced usually, but if I get the opportunity I loved to be spontaneous.
