About Me

Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai'i I left home years ago to take up an apprenticeship at the Lyric Opera Center for American Artists in Chicago. Having finished my apprenticeship, I'm now a full-fledged artist thrust upon the big wide world in search of a new stage to make my own. My opera is my life. The ROCK once told me "To know your opera is to know your role." Opera is what I do. It's the one thing that'll allow me to express myself fully using all my abilities. I have the deepest respect for this art form. Opera singers are probably the most highly-trained vocalists in the world. We go through years of lessons and classes before we ever perform a single role onstage. It's not at all the easiest thing to do. Luciano Pavarotti and Placido Domingo didn't reach the top because they were nice guys. They are some of the best singers in the WORLD and always WILL be.Opera is one half of me. The other half is deeply rooted in the homeland: Hawai'i. There's too much to say about that little archipelago in the middle of the Pacific. I'm proud to be from one of the most beautiful places on the face of the earth, proud to be Hawaiian, proud to be a part of a culture that is unlike any other. I love home, I love all her people, and I can't wait for the day that I pack up and move back. Write me if you agree.
