GSP BOYS TO MEN FOOTBALL CAMP CHANGING YOUNG BOYS INTO YOUNG MEN! June 17th-22nd 2007 The week begins with a Father's Day Banquet, Sun June 17th at 6pm. We encourage ali fathers of campers and families to attend this banquet. It will intell all the events for the week and a special Father's day presentation. Our goal is to target young up-coming athletes, we will instill and encourage, respect, positive attitudes, responsibility, sportsmanship, and hard work, as our first goal. These areas are the only topic on the first day of camp, "Challenge Day". "Challenge Day" encourages individuals to be them selves and let go of any walls and or images (everyone's a person with feelings). The day begans with a variety of games that are designed to get individuals of different ethnicities and backgrounds to start interacting. The campers will learn a silent, yet powerful way to give support to one another, the "I love you" symbol in sign language. This clinic is designed to give each athlete an oppurtunity to concentrate and focus on skills and coordinated movement. This will aid each athlete in developing the ability to perform at the peak of his potential. Educated coaches will teach offensive and defensive techniques. By developing supportive and respective relationships from the athletes and parent early, the coaching staff will be more productive in developing each player. The athletes will be provided with two meals each day, and plenty of fluids throughout the day. Licensed medical staff will be on site at all times in case of any injuries. This is a tremendous opportunity for fathers and sons to share time together, something very precious and rare in today's society. As a volunteer coach they will recieve free meals, a t-shirt and priceless time making a difference in some young man's life. The services will not stop once the camp is over, if needed the staff will be availible throughout the year for advice, support or for a simple man to man talk. GSP appreciates all your support. Together we can make a change the upcoming boys to men, who will make an impact on society's future.Sincerely, Karen Brown RN (GSP)
