I am Alexander (Lex) Luthor. I was named by my father, Lionell Luthor, after Alexander the great, his idol. I never grew up to be the person my father wanted me to be. Instead I was shunned by him. When I was younger I came with him to Smallville to close a business deal, I wandered away from him following the faint sounds of someone calling for help that were coming from a nearby cornfield. That is where I was when the meteors hit. I stood there helpless as they fell all around me. When my father found me I was laying in the field in shock. I was rushed to the hospital and was told that not only was my hair gone, but it would never grow back.Several years later I was sent back to Smallville by Lionell to manage Luthorcorp Plant No. 3. I moved into the Luthor Family Mansion. The mansion has been in my family for centuries. My father had it shipped to Smallville rock by rock and then reconstructed their, with no intention to ever move into it, just simply because he could. After a year the facility was producing a high profit and business was blooming. That is when I received a request from my father to come back to Metropolis to work beside him. I turned the offer down. Shortly thereafter my father came to Smallville and closed the plant, leaving nearly 2500 people jobless. He blamed it on management failures, saying that I reluctantly ran the business into the ground, in attempt to force me back to Metropolis. I was able to arrange a corporate employee buyout of the plant and started Lexcorp. My father did everything he could to stop me, but it was too late. Business shortly picked back up and the plant began producing more and more profit.
