Adrift started during the winter of 2002 when Julien (ex-Arnak, local band from Besançon) called Max (ex-Arnak too, bass) and asked if he wanted to play the drums in a fast punk band. The idea was to play simple punk hardcore songs already written by Julien during two or three years. Playing these songs was the opportunity to make them live, but the project was just to make fun. It was the occasion to practise the drums for Max. Few months later, thay asked Sylvain (drums in ex-Arnak and in Gozzers at that time, another rural band who used to play thrash/death/core) if he wanted to play the second guitar. In the early spring of 2003, they asked Flo (vocals in ex-On The Verge and already in HxCxF) if he wanted to learn playing the bass. Rehearses after rehearses, they start to do shows (not many, but the feeling and the urge to play were there...). During the late winter of 2004, they have recorded 7 tracks with Karl (Dubble You studio) in order to diffuse a cd-r hand to hand. They continued to play little gigs. During the early winter of 2005, Flo decided to leave the band out. Richard took his place. They recorded 10 tracks in november 2005 and started to look for a label who could help the production. Mass prod, a french punk hardcore rock n' roll label accepted to press "to the void" and distribuce it with the help of Blasting Dead records. In january 2006, Julien decided to leave out because of an effective loss of motivation. So, the actual formation is composed by Sylvain, Max and Ric. ADRIFT played with bands such as Lower Class Brats, Anticlockwise, Signal Lost, Los Dolares, Vomit for Breakfast, Tanker Chaos, Human Compost, Vietnam 2.4, HxCxF, Ratfink, Franzak Attack, Bloody Fingers, Saoul Pression, Zertort, Dieresis, Daverio, Attila Noise Exponency, Shlasseurs, Imprecation, Gang Chain, Assom, Hateful Monday, Bitch Slappers, Organ Grinder, Faute de Frappe, J'aurai voulu, , D.I.D., HH1.--------------------------------------------------------
