Nathans Project formed in late 2006 after Shane Stern (Drums) and James Kashyap (Guitar) left "Bliss Sound". They called Justin Rushing (Guitar) to fill the void, who then brought in Wes Patton (Bass). Not long after, Shane asked Mark Holmes (Guitar, Vocals) to sing for the band. However, due to conflicts with school and sports, Justin Rushing was forced to quit the band. Drawing inspiration from their number one fan, Nathan Evans, the band decided upon the name Nathans Project fairly easily. The lineup was Mark Holmes on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, James Kashyap on lead guitar, Wes Patten on bass, and Shane Stern on drums. In early June after playing a few shows the band decided to make a change. Although James is an excellent guitarist the band decided to bring in the expert musicianship of Blake Brent. With Blake now on lead guitar, the current line up is Mark Holmes on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Blake Brent on lead guitar, Wes Patten on bass, and Shane Stern on drums. In the near future, expect the release of a demo CD and live shows. -NP
