TRASOS was born in Padua (Italy) in January 2003, due to Fudo's desire
to keep playing drums in a deathmetal band after his first project as a
drummer (Delirium) prematurely fell through in November 2002. Trasos'
musical aim was to create a powerful dynamic sound, merging Amorphis
atmospheres and In Flames melodies. Soon, though, Fudo realized that, in
the purpose of creating an own distinctive sound, Trasos style was
shifting mainly to the powerful and melodic In Flames approach. With the
main aim to extend the project to other players and achieve a stable
lineup, Giulio G.(already with Fudo in Delirium, and also in the line-up
of Chronic Hate and of Proclivity Gloom) joined Trasos. Giulio is an
awesome guitarist, and a very skilled composer; immediately after his
arrival, Davide, also singer in a goth-doom band in Padova, joins
Trasos. Thanks to helping friends, Fudo contacts French to play with
Trasos as second guitarist, and he proves an excellent musician, too.
Later on, Alberto (a friend of French) takes bass duties, and starting
from the very first rehearsal he shows the band all his technique and
inspiration. In order to give more thickness and atmosphere to the
songs, Fudo looks for a keyboard player and enrolls Raffaele (from
Tanist). The day of the first official rehearsal (March 11th 2003) the
line-up is complete and running, and Trasos begin writing some new
riffs. Since the beginning the sound of the band shifts towards the most
melodic shores of the scandinavian death-metal (In Flames, Dark
Tranquillity, Children of Bodom), still never disdaining the use of pure
energy and thrashing riffs. Unfortunately, before the first song is
complete, Trasos lose Alberto and Raffaele, due to their personal
duties. Fabio (also in Delirium, with Fudo) is the new bass player, and
shows himself really fond of playing in a band such as Trasos. The band
resumes songwriting lacking keyboards and by April the first song is
done, and others are written subsequently (in a more or less complete
form). Fudo is the main composer thanks to his guitar skills, which he
can practice and improve thanks to his guitarwork in past bands. At the end of April, for different reasons, Trasos lose
Giulio and Davide. Thanks to French, Federico joins the band as a lead
guitarist, proving himself an excellent musician and showing interest in
playing the existing material. In June 2003 Trasos recover Raffaele, who
adds keyboards to previously written songs and add to the songwriting
for the ones to come. The band goes on the refining its own material and
creating new one, also preparing some cover songs for a wannabe live
tracklist. The chosen songs are "The treason wall" by Dark Tranquillity,
"Dead night warrior" by Children of Bodom and "Embody the Invisible" by
In Flames. In September 2003, alas, Trasos lose another member, French,
who is unable to reconcile his duties with his band presence. In
agreement with the rest of the band, parting ways is done in a friendly
way. A long period of bad mood starts, in which the band crosses a
struggling and fruitless search for the lacking members, beginning to
loose cohesion and wasting a lot of rehearsals. Fortunately things seem
to come to a new start as Trasos regains its magic, further gaining
unity when the recording of a demo is put in the to-do list. Fudo
decides to record vocals himself, still wishing for a singer to join
before the upcoming live-shows. In May 2004 the band is still thinking
about various solutions for the lineup but at least, after lots of
auditions, Trasos choose Alex as second guitarist and he proves a very
good element, bringing musical ideas and showing goodwill. Meanwhile
Fudo persuades Marco, ex guitarist-vocalist of Autumn Leaves, to become
the front-man of Trasos and join the songwriting. Finally, on July 4th,
2004, the band is complete again! But, after 5 months Marco, because of
many personal problems, decides to leave the band. Fudo proposes Fabio
as the new frontman and it's a damn good idea, because Fabio has a great
voice and other members love it. Thus finally ends the quest for the new
frontman and in just one week! Again, Trasos are experimenting problems
as August 2005 Federico leaves: it was impossible to reconcile his
duties with him being in the band, so again ways were parted friendly.
And again, new year (february 2006) doesn't start very well for Trasos,
as there's a new revolution in the line-up: Alex leaves, due to personal
problems. Still Trasos show an exceptional force of will, and after
three months of auditions two new excellent and technical axemen are
recruited, Mirko and Giulio, who join the band and songwriting for the
songs to come. And the story goes on.......
