What Marashino has done and what makes Marashino the band primed to reinvigorate rock music, is create music that is both emotionally powerful, yet still complex with dark underlying tones. Strong, unique vocals matched with memorable guitar lines
has set Marashino a step ahead of the competition. Hailing from
Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Eric, Tom, Henry, Nick, and Joey have had to
crawl, scratch, and fight their way to
the top of a regional music scene that is packed with
numerous bands that are both talented and motivated.
Formed in 2002, the high school classmates started racking up major accomplishments before they could legally enter a bar. In the first year of their musical careers, Marashino was invited to play at the world's largest music festival known as Summerfest and were invited back for the next three years. This led the motivated five to be passed on to bigger and better gigs opening for Crossfade and Shinedown on the Miller Lite Main Stage at the Wisconsin State Fair (2006) and later being personally invited back with
Shinedown on the Main Stage at the Waukesha County
Fair (2007) in front of the tractor pull show.
Marashino has also graced the same stages as Chevelle, Seether, Dokken, Collective Soul, Marty Casey and The Lovehammers, and Andrew W.K. After being voted Milwaukee's best
unsigned rock band two years in a row (Emergenza and Shepard Express Best Rock Band Award), the boys were not
content to only rake in the awards Milwaukee had to offer. They
then ventured on a pair of self-funded,
successful tours that have spread their music around the country.
A growing number of radio stations in many
parts of the United States now play their music. Marashino undeniably has a solid live show and it is bolstered by
equally well-crafted recordings. It is obvious to
anyone that has seen them that the sky is the limit for this group of
young, motivated musicians, and their future is
sure to be full of both surprises and success.
