About Me

I'm a veg foodie, I have a passion for running & cycling, and a crocheting & knitting habit. Originally from the state that looks like a mitten I now reside below the Mason Dixon.

Four wonderful furry companions let me live in their home: Mantequilla (aka Mante) the wonder dog, Eena the marshmallow peep cat, Hercules the feline king of the universe, & Peanut my sweet albeit wary kitty.

What type of Runner are You?

Mid-Distance Runner
You are a very versatile runner. You would make an okay sprinter, as well as a long distance runner. But where you shine, is right in the middle! Take on distances between 400-800m for your best performance.

My Interests

Running, cycling, cooking, animal rights (animals are not ours to eat, wear, use as entertainment, or experiment on), crocheting, knitting and cannot forget the bitching

I'd like to meet:

People with a sense of humor (yes, sarcasm is included), compassion, passion for fitness and a healthy love of food. If you're a Spartan all the better! Runners and tri-athletes are a bonus. Anyone who wants to talk food is always delightful. No booty calls here, this gal's got a ring on her finger.

Your Dosha is Pitta
You have a quick mind, a gift for persuasion, and a sharp sense of humor.
You have both the drive and people skills to be a very successful leader.
Argumentative and a bit stubborn, you have been known to be a little too set in your ways.
But while you may be biased toward your own point of view, you are always honest, fair, and ethical.

With friends: You are outgoing and open to anyone who might want to talk to you

In love: You are picky but passionate

To achieve more balance: Be less judgmental of those around you, and take cool walks in the moonlight. What's Your Dosha?

Chicago

I'm in Chicago for a trade show this week. One more day left and I'm exhausted! Spending 9+ hours on your feet, working the floor, and "on" all day takes a lot out of you.   The first day we had ...

It all Comes Down to Formatting

So I've been reading another veg triathlete's blog for the past couple of weeks. She lists her fuel, and total mileage for the day in a wrap up at the end of her blog. I like it, cute and clean. Perha...

Singing Muscles!

I trained with the retired Marine last night. We did 2+ miles of intense intervals in the pool. Holy crap, my entire body hurts. But it felt good to know that I could kind of hang with her. And I lear...
