I'm a bit of a musical chick really, I have been playing music since I was four starting with Piano, then moving onto Clarinet at school. I then discovered and fell in love with the guitar at the age of nine, dabbled in drums in my first band aged 13 (and bugged the hell out of my mum rehearsing every Sunday in My Bedroom, we were absolutely BAAADDD, I mean we were called 'Edenwitch' for God's sake). I then joined a trio as a backing vocalist and rhythm guitarist when I was 14 and began gigging three times a week. I soon got bored and joined another local trio which is where I met my songwriting partner - Caz, a very talented singer/songwriter musician chicky! We eventually left the trio to form the 'Pure Passion' duo, we went around the pubs and clubs putting our time in gigging like there was no tomorrow. We spent lots of time rehearsing and writing our own stuff whilst on the look out for band members. After answering an advert in the local rag, we found the other members of the 'Pure Passion' band - Sal, Dre, Julie and Michelle. We gigged extensively across the UK and Europe, completing two tours in France and Germany, we were signed to a small independant label and worked with many famous people, however the time just wasn't right for us and stardom was always just a breath out of reach. We split for a while after 5 years of constant gigging and got back together with fresh ears and new ideas. We are still together today, although the line-up is slightly different now, but we are still enjoying ourselves. Me, well I'm running a live music venue in Norwich now so I don't get much time for gigging myself but I have the odd moment (it's still in the blood!!). Whilst I gig with PP every six weeks or so, I also do the odd acoustic thing and have recently caught up with Caz again to play a few dates. Come and check it out!!
