About Me

Layout made by moo2u111 at CreateBlog.com .
I’ve been playing around Texas for almost thirty years now and have been privileged to work with a lot of great musicians. The highlights include my work with the Bad Livers, Alex Coke, Tina Marsh and the Creative Opportunity Orchestra, Susanna Sharpe, Asleep at the Wheel, Elias Haslanger, Gene Ramey, Doug Hall, Rich Harney, and Paul Glasse. But there are many, many more and I am deeply grateful to all of them.
I hope you dig the music I put up. The first cut is from Alex Coke with Tina Marsh and members of the Creative Opportunity Orchestra. I love this session. This tune features a killin trumpet solo by Pat Murray. The next cut is from Elias Haslanger’s first CD. It includes Eli on saxophones, Dr. James Polk on piano, and Jeff Haley on bass. The next cut is from a soundtrack I did for the movie “The Newton Boys”. It includes a lot of legendary (as well as infamous) Texas musicians including Danny Barnes, Mark Rubin, Eric Hokkanen, Steve James, Mike Maddux, Elias Haslanger, Floyd Domino, Stanley Smith, Freddie Mendoza, and others. The last cut is from my work with the Bad Livers – Danny Barnes and Mark Rubin. That CD was a blast to make. Danny and Mark are true wonders in the studio. It was produced by Lloyd Maines – a great musician – incredible ears and lots of fun to work with.
So what am I up to now? You can catch me playing around Austin at various venues including, Reeds, The Elephant Room, Central Market, and lots of churches and synagogues where I perform with, Rich Harney, Alex Coke, David Stevens, Mark Devine and Denia Ridley, Bruce Saunders, Elias Haslanger, Sean Hopper, Tony Campise, Kat Edmonson, Maryann Price, and others. I also lead my own quintet and have a couple other projects in the works. Thanks for checking out my page.
