producer, liaison to the tribes...ummmm too much to talk about.Donations are being accepted to help secure the Sacred Pipes. All of the proceeds raised will go to securing the pipes. All people working on this project will be doing so at their own personal expense. We feel it is too important to get the pipes home...please help raise the money needed to secure the pipes and insure their return to the people for ceremony. One pipe can cost up to $1,500.00 and some are for around $300.00. The plan is to raise enough money to get all 350 Sacred Pipes secured before they are lost to the people again. We are NOT raising money to do a film...we are NOT raising money to do anything other than secure the pipes and return them for ceremony. Please help and donate today. No donation is too small or too large for that matter. Please do not wait the "the tribes," "the councils", or somebody else to do this. It is all of our job to take care of these sacred items. Television ....hmmmm what can I say about an industry that I"m trying to change? Any entity with the influence that media holds that keeps a people invisible....needs to change. Its time to be seen. Its time to be heard. I'll stop trying to change it when my kids can turn on the set any time of the day and see an ndn up there just being a human being...no buckskin...no feathers...just ndn today and acting in "real" not "sterotypical rolls." The goal is to take them from what they know...to who we are today. We'll get there...eventually.Journey with Red Hawk is a television series that will air on the VERSUS network in July.
